Set up ezLFG
About a minute: add ezLFG, pick a channel and check one permission. Everything after that is optional.
Add ezLFG to your serverRequired
Click the button, pick your server and keep the permissions ticked. ezLFG never asks for Administrator: each permission runs one feature, and if you untick one, only that feature switches off.
Pick the LFG channelRequired
Run
/lfg-setup channeland choose the channel where lobbies should be posted. ezLFG puts a live board of open lobbies there and tells you if it's missing a permission in that channel. Want one channel per game? Run it again with thegameoption.Check members can use slash commandsRequired
Members need Discord's Use Application Commands permission in that channel. It's on by default, but some servers turn it off. If only admins can use
/lfg, open Server Settings → Roles → @everyone and switch it on. Never give members Administrator to fix this.Show members where to startOptional
In the LFG channel, run
/lfg-setup postand choose the how-to message. ezLFG posts and pins a short guide with Create a lobby and Browse lobbies buttons. From then on, members just type/lfg.
Optional extras
Game pings
/lfg-setup ping-role picks a role to ping when a lobby for a game is posted (leave the role empty and ezLFG creates one). Members opt in themselves from the panel that /lfg-setup post can post. Pings wait at least 10 minutes per game unless you change the cooldown.
Voice channels and threads
/lfg-setup options turns on a private voice channel for each squad (when the lobby fills, or as soon as it's posted), a chat thread per lobby, a DM when a lobby fills, and reading plain “lfg duo comp” messages.
Time zone
/lfg-setup timezone sets the server's default for scheduled lobbies, e.g. Europe/London. Members can still pick their own.
Language
/lfg-setup language sets the bot's language for the whole server or one channel. Each member can pick their own with /language.
Check everything at once with /lfg-setup view.
If something doesn't work
Members can't see /lfg
Turn on Use Application Commands for @everyone (step 3), and check that Server Settings → Integrations → ezLFG doesn't limit the commands to some roles.
ezLFG doesn't post in the channel
In that channel, ezLFG's role needs View Channel, Send Messages, Create Public Threads, Send Messages in Threads and Manage Messages. /lfg-setup channel lists any that are missing.
No voice channel appears
ezLFG needs Manage Channels and Connect in the category you chose for voice channels.
Members don't get the ping role
Drag ezLFG's role above the ping roles in Server Settings → Roles. Discord only lets a bot give roles that sit below its own.
